Community Day Held September 6 On Saturday, September 6, Alabama Dance Theatre hosted its annual Community Day, welcoming 35 participants ages 8–21 to the studios for a free morning of classes. Guest instructors included Lance Washington (Hip-Hop), ADT alumna Aloria Adams (Ballet), and Jaclyn Speights (Contemporary), each offering 45-minute sessions in rotation by age group. ADT faculty assisted in the classes, and each participant received a complimentary Community Day t-shirt. The event served as an introduction to dance for newcomers and a valuable opportunity for young artists to train with accomplished teachers.

September has been a month of energy, growth, and community connection at Alabama Dance Theatre. With classes in session, company members preparing for Mistletoe, and children’s auditions scheduled, ADT continues to advance its mission of bringing high-quality dance training and performance to Montgomery.
