

Emanuel Wood
Senior Company
Emanuel Wood has been a member of the Alabama Dance Theatre since 2019. In 2024, they performed as Soldier Doll, Nutcracker Prince, and Mirliton in The Nutcracker with Southeast Alabama Dance Company (SEADAC). They were also selected to perform at the YAGP 25th Anniversary Gala at Lincoln Center, NYC.

Their recent summer intensive training includes Nashville Ballet Summer Intensive (Full Scholarship, including room & board, 2024), Louisville Ballet Summer Intensive (Full Scholarship, deferred to 2025), UNCSA Classical Ballet or Contemporary Intensive (Full Scholarship, 2024), Texas A&M Collegiate Summer Dance Intensive (Full Scholarship, 2024), Brenau University Summer Dance Intensive (Full Scholarship, 2024), Alonzo King LINES Ballet Summer Intensive (Full Scholarship, 2024), and University of Utah Ballet Summer Intensive (Full Scholarship, 2024). They also received a 2-year male scholarship (room & board) to Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet and a Partial Scholarship to the Alonzo King LINES Ballet Year-Round Program (Deferred to 2025).

Additional accomplishments include performing at AMDA High School Conservatory Summer Intensive (2023, Full Scholarship), attending Louisville Ballet Summer Intensive Men's Professional Program (2023), and receiving a Full Scholarship to Brenau Summer Dance Intensive and Emerging Choreographer's Workshop (2023). In 2022, they were awarded the RDA/SE Festival "In Memory of Kitty Seale" cash scholarship.

Other highlights include scholarships to GUS Intensive in Chicago (2021), American Dance Festival Pre-Professional Program (2021), Dance Theatre of Harlem School Summer Intensive (2021), Alabama State University Summer Intensive (2021), and participation in The Wonder Years (Season 1) and Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts Concerts for Kids Video.

They were accepted to American Ballet Theatre Summer Intensive (2020), performed at Alabama State University's Tonea Stewart Performing Arts Camp (2016-2019), and choreographed "Thinking Out Loud" and performed in Cinderella: A Hip Hop Story and "I Shall Wear a Crown" at Carver Elementary School Arts Magnet (2017).
Their achievements include 1st place in ACES Junior Division in Dance (2022, 2021) and 2nd place (2020).
